Education

The development strategy of the education system is aimed at creating equal opportunities for obtaining quality education by all citizens, maximum satisfaction of the educational needs of citizens, society and the labor market, which is the basis of the well-being of citizens.

Preschool education is represented by 233 pre-school educational institutions. In general, these are kindergartens and kindergartens combined, in addition, there are child development centers, kindergartens of compensating type, supervision and rehabilitation with priority of one or several directions. In the municipal districts and the urban district of Saransk, there is an increase in the number of children attending pre-school institutions. The average provision in places in preschool institutions (108 children per 100 seats) shows their shortage. The highest coverage is in rural areas - there are 86 children per 100 places, while 114 cities and large regional centers.

In Mordovia, the project "Kindergartens for children" is being implemented, which envisages the introduction of new places through the construction of new ones, the reconstruction of old ones and the return of the buildings of kindergartens handed over earlier to other organizations. In the subprogram "Development of the pre-school education system of the Republic of Mordovia" of the republican target program for the development of education for 2011-1015. two main directions are identified: modernization of pre-school education as an institution for social development; ensuring access to quality preschool education.

General education. At present, there are 424 municipal educational institutions (Municipalities) in Mordovia, where about 68 thousand people study, of which 22 218 people live in rural areas. Among the Ministry of Education of the Republic there are schools with in-depth study of individual subjects, gymnasiums, lyceums. In addition, there is a state budget atypical general educational institution "Republican Lyceum - Center for Gifted Children", in the municipal districts there are full-time physical and mathematical schools - branches of the center.

Within the framework of the general education modernization project, the following areas are being realized in the republic: purchase of equipment; acquisition of vehicles for the transport of students; replenishment of the library funds of general educational institutions; development of school infrastructure; modernization of general education institutions through the organization of distance learning in them; activities aimed at energy saving in the general education system; professional development, professional retraining of heads of general educational institutions and teachers.

Professional education. Currently there are 7 primary vocational education institutions (NGOs), 31 institutions of secondary professional education (SPO), of which 9 are federal, 16 are under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Mordovia, 4 - the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Mordovia, 2 - the Ministry of Culture of the Republic Mordovia. The total contingent of students and students is 13 566 people. In educational institutions, 32 NGO programs and 63 specialties are under preparation. Since September 1, 2011, 37 institutions of vocational education have switched to training specialists in accordance with the GEF of the third generation.

Of the secondary vocational schools, the largest are the Saransk College of Electronics, Economics and Law. AI Polezhaeva, Saransk State Industrial and Economic College and Saransk Electromechanical College.

Training of specialists of the highest qualification is carried out by the following universities: Mordovian State University. By the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of May 20, 2010 No. 812-r in relation to the Moscow State University. NP Ogarev established the category of "national research university". Training of personnel here is carried out on 157 specialties and directions of preparation (bachelor's and master's degrees).

Post-graduate education. The training of personnel is carried out by a number of training and course centers and centers that provide general training, above all it is the institute of additional education of the Moscow State University.
